SI base unit
The SI base units are the seven basic units of measurement used by scientists and other people around the world. All the other units can be written by combining these seven base units in different ways. These other units are the SI derived units. The 'SI' comes from the French term "SystÃÂÃÂÃÂème International".The seven base units are the meter to measure length, the kilogram to measure mass, the second to measure time, the ampere to measure the flow of electricity, the kelvin to measure temperature, the mole to measure the amount of a substance, and the candela to measure the brightness of light.
