Nitrogen

Nitrogen is a non-metal element. It has the chemical symbol N and atomic number 7.

Air is made up of about 80% nitrogen and about 20% oxygen.

Nitrogen is not poisonous. We can safely breathe it as a part of air, however we cannot breathe pure nitrogen, because it won't have the oxygen that we need to live.
