Moloka'i

Moloka'i is the fifth largest island of the Hawaiian archipelago. The island is 38 miles long and 10 miles across, with a land area of 261 sq. miles. The highest point is Kamakou on east Moloka'i, at 4,970 feet.

'Moloka'i is known as the "Friendy Isle". It is one of the least developed of the Hawaiian islands.

The only town of any size is Kaunakakai, which is also the chief port on the island. The airport is located on West Moloka'i.

Moloka'i is noted for a large number of Hawaiian fish ponds along its south shore. Many of these have been restored in recent years.
