Electronics
Electronics was originally meant to be that branch of science which encompassed the 'Flow of Electrons through Vacuum'!Initially vacuum tube devices were used for rectification purposes. In present times the use of vacuum devices has all but stopped due to the extensive use of solid-state devices or semiconductor devices.
Vacuum tubes are still in use in systems which require high-power output or very high amplification. for example in Television Transmission where antenna output signal could reach anywhere above 1KVA for low power to above 10KVA for high power transmission stations.
