Zaventem
Zaventem is a municipality located in Flanders, the main autonomous state of Belgium and in the Flemish province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Nossegem, Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, Sterrebeek and Zaventem proper. On January 1st, 2000 Zaventem had a total population of 26,901 (13,042 males and 13,859 females). The total area is 27.76 km² which gives a population density of 969.06 inhabitants per km².The Brussels International Airport is located in this municipality.
The official language is Dutch (as everywhere in Flanders). Small local minorities consist of nationals from many European Union-countries, USA and Canada, and from French-speakers that came from Wallonia or Brussels.
