Yamanashi prefecture (Japanese: 山梨県; Romaji: Yamanashi-ken) is located in the Chubu region on Honshu island, Japan. The capital is the city of Kofu.

The prefecture's name is spelled Yamanasi in three rarely used romanization systems, Nippon-shiki, Kunrei, and JSL.
