Wind energy

Wind energy is the energy present in the flow of air in the atmosphere, usually as a result of weather or other geological conditions. Some consider it a form of solar energy as the wind is caused by uneven temperatures in the atmosphere caused from heat generated mostly from the sun.

The term wind energy also applies to the energy gathered by so-called wind generators or wind turbines.
