West Lake
West Lake (西湖, xī hÃÂú) is a famous place of interest located in the middle of the downtown of Hangzhou, in China.The lake is divided by two causeways called su di (苏堤) and bai di (白堤), both of which have several small bridges to allow water traffic to pass between the sections of the lake. The lake has been famous for its exquisite beauty for hundreds of years and it is considered the symbol of the city.

Note that the West Lake in Hangzhou is only one of about 800 West Lakes in China (according to the Lonely Planet). However, it is certainly the most famous one.
