Expansion

WIN expanded to the rest of southern New South Wales when aggregation occurred in that area, in 1989. It took on a Nine Network affiliation, a bond that has become a very strong link between the two companies. WIN has used a verson of the Nine Network logo, with nine dots, on all Nine affiliate stations. The only non Nine-affiliate stations operated by WIN are in areas where they are a dual broadcaster.

The other two commercial broadcasters were Prime Television and Capital Television.

Since that date, WIN has expanded almost nationwide, mainly by purchasing and re-branding other networks. It is now the largest regional broadcaster, in terms of both area and population.
