Voronezh Oblast (Воро́нежская о́бласть) is an oblast, a subject of the Russian Federation, with its center at the city of Voronezh. It is situated in so called Black Earth Region, a part of Central Russia. The population is roughly 2.5 million. The area is 52400 sq. km. Major cities include Voronezh, Borisoglebsk, Rossosh, Liski, Novovoronezh.
