Vittorio Catani
Vittorio Catani is an Italian science fiction writer (b. 1940), lives and works in Bari. A retired bank clerk, he started publishing essays and fiction in 1962, especially within the fantasy and science fiction genres. "L'eternitÃÂÃÂ e i mostri" (stories, CELT 1972); Il gioco dei mondi (essay on science fiction, Dedalo, 1985); Gli universi di Moras (novel, winner of the First Premio Urania, Mondadori 1990); I guastatori dell'Eden (novel, Liguori 1993); Replay di un amore (novel, Schena 1994); Cronache dal futuro (a boy's guide to Italian fantasy fiction, Milella 1995); Tra cielo e Terra (stories, Ed. Oceano, 1998); Accadde... domani (short stories and vignettes, Besa 2001). He published on most major newspapers and magazines, and he was translated in a number of European countries. He contributes to the daily newspaper "La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno", the environmental quarterly "Villaggio Globale" , and is one of the editors of "Delos"
