The Volkswagen Apollo was a version of the Ford Escort sold in Brazil in the late 1980s when Volkswagen and Ford Motor Company shared models in South America in a joint venture known as Autolatina. It was replaced by the Volkswagen Pointer, which was similarly based on the Ford Escort.
