The Ulster-Scots are a Northern Irish ethnic group. They are the descendants of people who migrated to Ulster from Scotland (mainly Lowland Scotland) during a period spanning the twelfth and seventeenth centuries.

Many of these people emigrated to the United States, where their descendants usually describe themselves as Scots-Irish or Scotch-Irish.
