Treaty of Lausanne
The Treaty of Lausanne was a treaty that set the boundaries of modern Turkey. It was signed in Switzerland on July 24, 1923 by Greece, Turkey and other countries (including the Allied Powers) that fought in the First World War and in the War in Asia Minor, 1919-1922.
It superseded the Treaty of SÃÂèvres, which had been rendered irrelevant after Turkish forces under AtatÃÂürk had conquered the Italian, Greece, Armenian and Kurdish areas which had been created in Asia Minor.
