Tolar

The Tolar is the currency of Slovenia from October 1991. Its smaller unit is the stotin, 1 SIT = 100 stotins.

The name tolar descends from the thaler, a silver coin first minted in 1518 in Joachimsthal, Bohemia, and is cognate with Dollar.
