The Emperor's Birthday
The Emperor's birthday (天皇誕生日, tenno tanjobi) is on December 23rd in 2004 Japan. It changes when the emperor changes. Before 1989, it was celebrated on April 29th. It is a holiday to celebrate our emperor's birthday with all the citizens.
In the old days, it was called as "tenchousetsu", but after the World War 2, the government has changed it into "The Emperor's birthday" (It was changed in 1948). On that day, it was established as a holiday in the low. On the December 23th, a cermony will take place in the palace,and many people visits the Imperial palace.
