TCS Tiger's Claw
TCS Tiger's Claw (CVS-07) is a fictional starship from the Wing Commander universe. She is a Bengal-class strike carrier with a fighter complement of 104 craft. She was commissioned in 2644. The Tiger's Claw is the first of the Flight IIA Bengal-class carriers. Tiger's Claw was 700 meters long, ten meters longer than subsequent Flight IIA ships.Tiger's Claw is especially notable for being the first carrier that Confederation war hero Colonel Christopher Blair served on during his career (though he served on two ships of the line, the Formidable and the Waterloo, beforehand). During his two years on Tiger's Claw, Blair advanced rapidly through the ranks from a fresh cadet to squadron commander; he was preparing to take over as Wing Commander when the ship was destroyed in 2656, sidetracking his career for almost a decade.
The class would receive a severe blow to its prestige in 2656 when Tiger's Claw was destroyed in a Kilrathi sneak attack. However, the remaining ships soldiered on until the end of the Kilrathi War.
