Jean Sibelius' Symphony No. 1\ in E minor, Opus 39 was written in 1898. Like most symphonies, it is in four movements:

  1. Andante, ma non troppo - Allegro energico
  2. Andante. Ma non troppo lento

  4. Finale

The work was completed when the composer was 33.
