Super Smash Bros.
Super Smash Bros. is a fighting game released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999. Not only was it a good fighting game for a system that had few, it was also good by any other standards. The game featured an innovative combat system that encouraged quick fighting and was easy for anyone to pick up due to its simplistic combos, short learning curve, and recognizable characters. Many of Nintendo's "mascot" characters (Mario, Samus Aran, Fox McCloud, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Pikachu, Link, Luigi, Jigglypuff, Captain Falcon, and Ness) gathered together for a melee battle.Super Smash Bros. was followed up with a sequel in 2001, Super Smash Bros. Melee, for the Nintendo GameCube. It kept the same great gameplay, and made it better-looking with the extra power of the GameCube. It also added Trophies which were collectable and are considered as a Nintendo Museum of sorts. SSBM also added 13 new characters, in addition to the original SSB's 12 characters. There have been rumors about a third Super Smash Bros. game. The third one may include PokÃÂémon from PokÃÂémon Ruby and Sapphire, and many more new characters.
