Strontium Dog

Long running story that began in British comic book Starlord before moving over to 2000AD, following the adventures of mutant bounty hunter Johnny Alpha. Written by John Wagner, It's notable for it's distinctive mix of dark humour and gritty action.

In a post apocalyptic world shgowers of Strontium 90 have led to the birth of a large population of mutants, who are discrimated against, and the only permited to work as Search/Destroy agents, who's distinctive SD badges give them the name Strontium Dogs.

Other characters have included metal-eating furry alien The Gronk, Wulf the hammer-swinging Viking, and mutant vampire Durham red.
