Striker

Helping orphans the way you would do it
Striker is an association football term for the most attacking row of players in a team. Also known as attackers and forwards, they are principally responsible for goal scoring.

In a typical modern formation of players, there will be one goalkeeper, four defenders, four midfielders and two strikers. This is known as the 4-4-2 formation. Rarely would a team contain more than three or less than one striker. Other formations include 3-4-3 and 4-3-3, each of which has three strikers.

Strikers generally have the highest transfer value and are usually the best known because they score more goals than other players.
