Straits of Mackinac

The Straits of Mackinac is the body of water that connects two Great Lakes, Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. It is located between the tip of Michigan's Lower Peninsula and Upper Peninsula. The Mackinaw Bridge crosses the Straits of Mackinac. People used to use car ferrys to cross the straits before the bridge was built.
