Stephen King (paedophile)
On 18 March 2004, Stephen King (not the well-known author of horror stories), was jailed for seven years for the "systematic abuse" of 3 girls aged between nine & 13 years old.King, 54, living in Herne Hill, South London, had unlawful sex with a 10-year-old girl. He pleaded guilty to a total of 21 charges, which included sex with a girl under 13, and 10 cases of indecent assault.
He took 500 photographs, kept a diary of each sexual encounter and made a video showing acts of indecency with the girls. These took place between October 1996 and the end of 1999.
Previously, in 1989, he had been convicted for gross indecency, and served 6 months in jail.
Despite this, he had been accepted as an "expert" who advised on how to protect children from paedophiles, and who also recommended sentences for child abusers,
