State function

In thermodynamics, a state function, or thermodynamic potential, is any property of a system that is not dependent on the way in which the system gets to the state in which it exhibits that property. (it is a markov process)

The following state functions exists:

• Enthalpy
• Helmholtz free energy
• Gibbs free energy
