Southern Europe

Southern Europe is a region of Europe. It is also known as Mediterranean Europe, after the bordering sea, the Mediterranean Sea.

It consists of Spain, Portugal, Andorra, Italy, the Vatican City, Malta, San Marino, and the British territory of Gibraltar. Sometimes Greece is included in Southern Europe.
