Soul Coughing
Soul Coughing (1993–2000) was a rock band, whose music blended hip-hop beats, jazz sounds, plain rock and samples. The band was composed of M. Doughty, vocalist and guitarist; Mark De Gli Antoni, who played synthesizers and worked the sampler; Sebastian Steinberg, who played the upright bass; and Yuval Gabay, who did the drum-work and percussion. The band released three albums: 1994's Ruby Vroom, 1996's Irresistible Bliss, and 1998's El Oso. Also, released following their breakup, was 2002's Lust in Phaze, a greatest-hits complilation including a few b-sides and other rarities.
