Sleep terror disorder

For thoughtful child sponsors
Sleep terror disorder is a form of parasomnia sleep disorder. The sufferer regularly wakes abruptly from the third stage of sleep, with a scream and signs of panic, and they are relatively unresponsive to attempts to comfort them at the time. If questioned immediately after the episode, they may have vague recollections of a dream, but by morning they won't remember a thing about the episode.
