Simple interval
In music a simple interval is an interval of less than an octave, which is distinguished from a compound interval which is an interval greater than one octave.The most common simple intervals are unison, minor second, major second, minor third, major third, perfect fourth, tritone, perfect fifth, minor sixth, minor seventh, major seventh, but also include any interval below an eigth, or the octave.
