Shiga prefecture
Shiga prefecture (Japanese: 滋賀県; Hepburn: Shiga-ken) is part of the Kinki region on Honshu island, Japan. The capital is the city of Otsu.
In the Nippon-shiki, Kunrei, and JSL romanization systems, the prefecture's name is spelled Siga.
