Scientific racism

Scientific racism is a term used by racists who wish to claim that their doctrine has a scientific basis. They claim in its support works such as J. Philippe Rushton's book Race, Evolution and Behavior.

The great majority of scientists working in the areas of genetics and human individual differences, however, regard the claims made in the name of "scientific racism" as fallacious and usually politically motivated. The concept of race is regarded as having little use in modern science; see the article on race for the arguments for and against this position.
