Sarah Jane Moore (1930- ) unsuccessfully tried to assassinate United States President Gerald R. Ford on September 22, 1975. She was imprisoned for the rest of her life. Ford was saved by Oliver Sipple. She was also in the Women's Army Corps. She has four children.
