Royal Academy of Music
The Royal Academy of Music is a music school in London, England. It was founded by Lord Burghersh in 1822 and in 1830 was granted a Royal Charter by King George IV.Past students include Arthur Sullivan, Henry Wood, Hugh Marchant, Devika Rani, David Martin, Harrison Birtwistle, John Barbirolli and Simon Rattle.
In 1999 the Academy became a full member of the largest British university, the University of London.
