Rogue Trooper

Created by Gerry Findlay-Day and Dave Gibbons, Rogue Trooper was a SF strip in British comic book 2000AD following the adventures of Rogue, a GI (or Genetic Infantryman, a genetically modified soldier grown in a jar) and his talking equipment: A hat, a backpack and a rifle fitted with "biochips" containing the personalities of his dead buddies.

After a massacre leaves him the only surviving GI Rogue goes AWOL in order to track down the traitor general responsible.
