The word radius (plural radii, pronounced ray-dee-eye) has several meanings:
- in geometry, engineering, graph theory, and many other contexts, it is the distance from the center or axis of something (e.g. a graph, a geometric shape, or mechanical part) to its outermost points. See also diameter.
- in anatomy, it is one of the two bones of the forearm: see radius (bone).
