Pseudepigraphy

Pseudepigraphy or a Pseudepigrapha is a book or other written document which appears to be attributed to a particular author, but which is generally believed not to have been written by that person.

Many books described as apocryphal are pseudepigraphical, especially those purporting to have been written at the time of the New Testament.
