Psammetichus II
Psammetichus II (also spelled Psammeticus, Psammetich, and Psamtik II) was a king of the Twenty-sixth dynasty of Egypt (595 - 589 BC).Pharaoh Psammetich II marched into Palestine and Phoenicia about 592 BC in response to moves made by Babylon, and attempted to generate anti-Babylonian sentiments among the leaders of kingdom of Judah, Philistia and Phoenicia.
Wahibre (Apries) succeeded him.
