Port Hedland
Port Hedland is an industrial town in North Western Australia and an important port. It acts as a hub for much of the mining activity in WA and is characterised by a large pile of salt which is noticable on entering the town. This large mound has almost become a tourist attraction in its own right.A beautiful natural phenomena which occurs in certain seasons is the "Stairway to the Moon" which is caused by a coincidal effect of moonlight and tides.
