Poor metal

The poor metals or post-transition metals are those metallic elements which, on the periodic table, are adjacent to the metalloids (or semi-metals). They tend to be soft, with low melting points.

The poor metals are:

• aluminium
• gallium
• indium
• tin
• thallium
• lead
• bismuth

Elements 113 to 116 can be provisionally included in this category, and are known temporarily as:

• ununtrium
• ununquadium
• ununpentium
• ununhexium
