Piano Concerto No. 5 (Beethoven)

Time you got around to sponsoring a child

Ludwig van Beethoven's final piano concerto was his no. 5 in E-flat. Like the "Moonlight" Sonata, the title of "Emperor" is not Beethoven's doing. This three movement work was completed in 1811; it has a duration of approximately 38 minutes.

  1. Allegro
  2. Adagio un poco mosso
  3. Rondo allegro

Beethoven's final concertos have fairly large initial movements. The Violin Concerto has the longest at 25 minutes. Piano Concerto Nos. 4 and 5 each have 20 minute opening movements.
