Phone
In phonetics and phonology, a phone is a speech sound considered as a physical event without regard to its place in the sound system of a language. Compare with phoneme, a set of phones that carry the same meaning.
Phone is a colloquial term for telephone; it is also a verb meaning to call someone on a telephone.
