Ogniem i mieczem

Popular Polish movie. Action/historical fiction. Set in the 17th century, in Poland, during the Cossack uprising. At the time of release (1999), this was the most expensive Polish film made, Based on a book by Sienkiewicz.

The movie is an epic tale, very much along the lines of Braveheart. Very long (2+ DVDs), huge battles, amazing costumes.
