Vick's NyQuil is a medicine designed to help relieve many symptoms of a cold. Unlike its daytime counterpart DayQuil, it also induces drowsiness. Its active ingredients are acetaminophen, dextromethorphan, doxylamine succinate, and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. It should not be taken by people who drink a lot of alcohol, who are taking other medicines containing acetaminophen, or who are using a prescribed monoamine oxidase inhibitor.
