Northern Premier League Premier Division

Helping orphans the way you would do it
The Premier Division is the top division of the Northern Premier League. It is one of the fifth divisions down in the English football league system. For sponsorship reasons, it is often referred to as the UniBond League Premier Division.

The division is run in parallel with the Premier Divisions of the Southern League and the Isthmian League. At the end of each season, the division winners (who are also the league winners) are promoted to the Football Conference (along with the Southern League and Isthmian League winners), while the three lowest placed teams are relegated to the Northern Premier League First Division.

Next season, the the Football Conference is expanding by adding North and South divisions, which means that the Northern Premier League Premier Division will be displaced a level and lie below the Conference's new divisions. A new play-off system between the runners up of the Premier Divisions of the Northern Premier League, Southern League and Isthmian League will offer more chances for promotion.
