North P'yongan province
North P'yŏngan (P'yŏngan-bukto; 평안 북도; 平安北道) is a region of North Korea. The Yalu River forms the northern border with China. The province is also bordered on the east by Chagang and on the south by South P'yongan. The Shinuiju Special Administrative Region is located in the western corner of the province. North Pyŏngan is bounded by water on the west with Korea Bay and the Yellow Sea (called the West Sea by Koreans).
