Nissan 200SX
The Nissan 200SX is Nissan's budget RWD sports coupe. Generally powered by a 1.8 Liter turbo-charged SR20-series engine and based on a Nissan Silvia Chassis, the 200SX encompases a number of different cars, each generation being an evolution of the last. The model name varied between Japan (180SX), Europe (200SX) and the United States (240SX). The U.S. S13 and S14 (the car was sold in the US from 1989-1998) were powered by the KA24, a naturally aspirated, 2.4 liter engine also found in the Nissan Pickup. This motor is often swapped out with Japanese market SR20 engines because tuning parts are diffiuclt to find for the motor and it has less torque in mid-to-high RPM ranges than the SR20.The 200SX family's other claim to fame is that it is perhaps one of the top drift cars in the world.
The Nissan model codes are:
- Nissan S12
- Nissan S13
