Nicolas-Louis Vauquelin May 16, 1763, Saint-André-d'Hébertot, France - November 14, 1829 same place was a pharmacist and a chemist.

Befriended by Antoine-François Fourcroy he became a professor and found chromium (1797) and beryllium (1798). They were able to get liquid ammoniac at the atmospheric pressure.

He wrote "Manuel de l'essayeur" (Manual of the experimental).
