There are 6 major NSP (Network Service Provider) in Nepal.

1. Global Internet Service Pvt Ltd

This company was established in the year 2000 as IAP/NSP. But the real business started only in december 2002 under leadership of the new Managing Director Mr B. K. Dangol.

The company is the first in Nepal to start commercial Wireless Networks in Nepal. In a very short time period GISPL has made its commercial wireless network in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. GISPL created the conciousness in the people about wireless broadband service. Peoples were attracted to GISPL because of stable wireless links and very reasonable pricing for the broadband Internet Service. Beside wireless Internet GISPL also provide Public Hotspot Services, Wired broadband Service, VPN services, Dialup Internet Service and VSAT networking Services.

2. Web Surfur

This company was established in 2002. It is mainly focussing on wireless internet services though it does not have dialup services.

3. Mercantile Comunications

This was the first ISP in NEpal and started its service in 1995. It is using wireless and dialup sevices.

4. Worldlink Comunications

It started its service by just providing email services. Now it is one of the good ISP in Nepal.

5. Infocom Pvt Ltd

Infocom is mainly focussing on dialup internet services. It also provide web hosting, software development and vsat services.

6. Bajranet Pvt Ltd

Bajranet is using TDMA vsat to serve its dialup internet Services. Form the beganing this company is fighting to make its hold in the dialup internet Service market.
