Nero Burning ROM

Nero Burning ROM is a popular computer program for writing CDss and DVDs. Its name is intended to be a joke about the Roman Emperor Nero who is said to have played his Lyre as Rome burned. This joke is more obvious in the original German as the German name for Rome is Rom.

Since version 6, Nero has been bundled with many other sub-applications such as Nero Wave Editor, Nero Image Drive, Nero BackItUp and "Oozic Player".
