Nenetsia

Nenetsia (Ненецкий автономный округ) is an autonomous district of Arkhangelsk Oblast in the Russian Federation.

It has an area of 176,700 km2 and a population of around 40,000, 18,000 of whom live in Narjan-Mar, the administrative centre.

The Nenets language has official status along with Russian in the district.
