Needham Market

Needham Market is a town in Suffolk, England. It grew around the wool combing industry, until the plague, which swept the town from 1663 to 1665 led to the town becoming cut off from the outside world. It was many years before the town recovered.

Notable buildings in the town include the fifteenth century parish church and the mediaeval Limes Hotel, where guilds met before the plague. People from Needham include the artist Samuel Read.
